John and Mary Lou are 11 out of 10 stars. They evaluated the house, took charge, came up with a plan, executed immdedialtely for the first buyer who ended up not qualifying, then got right back at marketing the house and it was sold in two days. Outstanding help. Thank you to John and Mary Lou.

I have known John and mary Lou for many years. They helped me with my first home in York then 18 years later they helped us find the perfect downsizing condo and sell our home in one day. They are very patient and respecful helping you at the pace you find comfortable. We spent at least 6 months looking at condos trying to find the right one. They never pushed but continued to work with us until we found the right one at the right price. I highly recommend John and Mary Lou when you need real estate help.

I met John and Mary Lou through my brother. His house was listed for sale over a year and did not sell. After a nightmare rental experience, he returned to York from Colorado and enlisted the help of John and Mary Lou. Long story short, extreme makeover headed by these two resulted in the house being sold in a week. I was faced with a marital split, and an extreme makeover was needed to my house. I called John and Mary Lou and they headed up and coordinated a crew to ready our house for sale. In 2 months the house was ready to be listed, and the house sold to the first and quite possibly only buyers to look at the house. I believe we had a contract within a week. Aside from their excellent job skills, they also dealt with a splitting couple with many disagreements with the utmost professionalism. I would use John and Mary Lou again, and give them a glowing recommendation.

John and Mary Lou did an amazing job helping me find a house and deal with a pretty crazy set of sellers during negotiations. Even when my situation got complicated, they got me where I needed to be. They made me change the way I feel about realtors:) You won't find a better team than this to work with!

The experience with Marylou and John was great. Not only did they guide us through the process they were friendly and patience. Never once did they say they were to busy for us. They kept us posted as people were looking at the home. There dates where right on target. They didn't overlook anything. this couple is very dynamic, professional and kind. My husband and I met John and Mary Lou when we were relocating from the west coast. They gave up an entire weekend to house hunt with us and once we made an offer they went above and beyond in helping us with small things that were difficult to accomplish when we were thousands of miles away. They treated us like family and we feel blessed to have had them by our side.

I met John and Mary Lou when my oldest son was purchasing his home. I was impressed with their dedication to their business and the care and ease they showed in getting my son "the right" home and putting together the transaction for him. A couple years later my daughter and her husband purchased their home with the aid of John and Mary Lou. Their transaction moved along without any problem after John and Mary Lou had spent much time with them finding their perfect home. A year ago I retired and we decided to move back to the York area to be closer to the family. Of course I contacted John and Mary Lou right away to get things started. I needed to sell my then current home in a different market area than they deal in, so they referred me to a local realtor in that area. Once we secured an offer on the home we were selling, we were able to move forward on finding a home in York. By that time, John and Mary Lou had been working with us and had a feeling for what we were looking for in a home and were able to show us several homes they thought we would like. We found a great home in a super area of East York in little time. When the transaction on the home we were selling started to get "muddy", John and Mary Lou stepped in a couple times to keep things moving on the sale and more importantly to "hold our hands" as anxiety and frustration mounted. After a few set backs on the sale, John and Mary Lou arranged for us to take an early occupancy on our new home as the realtor selling the existing home didn't seem to understand our wanting to vacate on a certain date and seemed much more interested in keeping the buyer happy than honoring our requests. In short, thanks to John and Mary Lou we are now enjoying our new home. They both worked to get the deal put together and schedule the settlements in a timely manner. Any requests we made concerning the purchase where honored in very short order. Since settlement we have contacted John and Mary Lou with questions regarding the home and looking for referrals from them for local painters, handymen, etc.. Should the need ever arise again for a realtor, we will not hesitate to contact them. Also, should anyone ever need a realtor in the York area, I will not hesitate to recommend them! In short these are two exceptional people who take great pride in their work and enjoy placing people and families in the "right" home.

My husband Jonathan and I recently purchased our home through John and Mary Lou Bowman. This was our second time working with them as they helped us buy and sell our first home. The home buying process isn't an easy one, but John and Mary Lou made it enjoyable and smooth. We had been looking for a home since January 2016 and finally purchased one in October 2016. Along the way John and Mary Lou were very helpful in showing us countless houses. They understood what we were looking for and showed us great houses that matched our desires. Throughout this process we ended up putting an offer in on several homes, though many of them fell through for reasons beyond our control. However, each time that we put an offer in, John and Mary Lou did an amazing job explaining all of the paperwork to us. They knew all of the different rules and regulations that would play a part in our home buying process. John was very helpful in coming up with the most competitive offer price and gave excellent advice on if he didn't think it was a good house for one reason or another. They was always good communication between the four of us throughout the whole process as they let us know where we were with the seller and bank. In short, these two realtors are excellent people, easy to work with, and highly knowledgeable. If we ever move again we will be working with John and Mary Lou Bowman.
